“Give a child a loving, supportive team and watch them flourish.” Jaime F.

We provide professional support for

Children • Adolescents • Families • Parents

My greatest passion is making children feel happy and whole again.

Seeing changes in your child can be worrying for parents. Understanding the best way to address your child’s emotional changes can be challenging. Maybe they come home from school angry, complaining of failing an exam, difficulties with friends or maybe they are lashing out at their siblings and withdrawing from family. Maybe they lack the confidence they need to be successful in their own world. Child therapy can help.

A Child Therapist can get your child to open up, identify the root of the problem and help them develop healthy coping mechanisms, so they can feel better.

Meet Jaime Feinstein, LCSW, MPA

I am a seasoned social worker and administrator who spent ten years working in direct social services in New York City, including the oversight of family shelters in all 5 boroughs.

While working in Homeless Prevention, I earned a master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College, where I graduated with Honors. My studies at Hunter included training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

My education and training have allowed me to hone my skills while working with children and their families.

I specialize in working with children aged four through college-age, with a range of psychological difficulties, as well as their support systems. My experience includes working with children with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, behavioral disorders, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Additionally, I work with children and their families who have experienced trauma, divorce, remarriage, education difficulties and other family issues. I am extensive experience working in a therapeutic preschool alongside a variety of developmental specialists. I am quite familiar with the EI/CPSE/CSE process and can offer advice regarding IFSP/IEP/504 plans, as well as developmental and school placement.  I also work with parents to increase their ability to advocate for their children.

Parenting in any phase of life can be tough. In my practice I also offer parent training, training in which I work solely with the child’s parents to effectively respond to common concerns or behavioral problems. I help parents in develop effective parenting strategies to meet the needs of today’s child/adolescent.
